In Gratitude
I bow my head. Overwhelmed with memories and emotions surfacing and the immediate turn into anxiety. I catch myself there in that moment.
“Embrace the emotions. Embrace them and give gratitude.”
So I do. Head bowed, tears rolling down my cheeks I choose gratitude over fear and anxiety. I choose to honor memories instead of ruminating on them over and over again.
A moment of pain, praise, and gratitude followed by peace.
